The Iron Eater iron filter water softener is a self-backwashing system that automatically removes the trapped iron and hard water minerals within the filter bed and washes them down the drain. This is accomplished with the electronic control valve that is mounted on top of the Iron Eater.This valve is controlled by a meter, that calculates the amount of water being used.Once the meter reaches x amount of gallons, It then initiates the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets it for the next period of filtration.Our Iron Eater includes a Digital Control Valve The Highest Quality Control Valve Available On The Market Today! Nearly All Of Our Competitors Still Offer An Older Mechanical (dial) Version Of This New Modernized Control Valve.

Iron Eater-125UV Packages include the SPV-950 UV system - NSF/ANSI Standard 55, Class A certification and provides a flow rate of 14.9 gpm. This user friendly UV system comes with the feature-laden Platinum™ controller coupled with the Flow-Pace™ UV intensity monitor. This combination allows for 2-stage flow pacing whereby half-power is provided to the lamps in conditions of no flow and full-power when the water is running. This allows the system to operate with minimal power requirements and reduced heat build-up. The Platinum™ controller provides constant output current and a universal power input, as well as visually displaying % UV intensity, remaining lamp life and total hours of operation
